AISI 1020 is a low carbon, fully killed steel supplied in the as rolled condition. The ultimate tensile strength is in the range 380-450 MPa.

AISI 1020 square tube applications

The steel is suitable for machine parts not requiring high strength. Low carbon and absence of alloy additions make it suitable for welded components.
